Derby Reach Regional Park
// ]]>
Derby Reach is located in Fort Langley, along the Fraser River. The easiest way to get there is head north on 208th St – coming from Highway 1 – from there take the 200th St exit and cross over to 208th on 88th. You should see the park signs soon after that. The signs are green and yellow and should lead you to Derby Reach.
There are a few great trails in the area:
- Houston Trail
- Fort-to-Fort Trail
Fishing
Another popular activity in this area is fishing. Take note that fishing in any Metro Vancouver Park will be subject to regulations by the Provincial and Federal Governments. This likely means that you will need to get a fishing permit if you’d like to fish at Derby Reach.
British Columbia’s Ministry of the Environment can help you with current information about freshwater fishing regulations and how to acquire a fishing license.
Camping
Derby Reach Regional Park has almost 40 unserviced camp sites that are available on a first-come first-serve basis. The campsites are available between March and October. There is maximum of two tents and two vehicles permitted on each camping lot. There is also a maximum 7 night stay at the camp site so make note of that if you’re planning a longer trip in the Langley area.
Dogs
Dogs are required to be in your control at all times while at Derby Reach.
