Edgewater Bar | Langley, BC
Edgewater Bar, located in Derby Reach Regional Park, is a big attraction to anglers of all ages who come here to set their lines for salmon along the Fraser River. The park sites right across the Fraser from the entrance to Kanaka Creek.
Log booms usurped many of the great fishing bars along the Fraser which has made Edgewater even more valuable in recent years.
One thing that pleases the fisherman is that the picnic tables have inlaid squares of melmac for cleaning your salmon.
Fishing Regulations
Metro Vancouver Parks are subject to regulations set out by the Provincial Government for fresh water fishing and by the Government of Canada for tidal water fishing.

The DFO regulations for a tidal waters sport fishing licences are as follows:
- They can be obtained in person; a parent may obtain a licence for a child under age 16; and a licence can be obtained for a spouse.
- Juveniles must obtain a licence, at no charge.
- must be produced on request by a fishery officer, conservation officer or fishery guardian, so ensure you have your licence with you while fishing or transporting your catch.
- is required to fish for any species of fin-fish or shellfish.
- is not transferable and is not valid unless signed by the licence holder.
- Annual licences are valid from date shown on the licence to the following March 31. Licences of a shorter duration expire at midnight on the final day of validity.
- It is illegal to hold more than one licence.
Camping at Edgewater Bar
The campsite has a capacity of 38 sites – all of which are unserviced. The camp site works on a first-come first-serve basis between the months of March and October. From November to February the campground is open for day-use only.
Camping Fees
The camping fee is $22/night; $19/night for seniors.
Other rules
*There is a limit of two licensed vehicles per pad and maximum of two tents per pad.
*There is also a maximum seven night stay.
