Langley Centennial Museum


The Langley Centennial Museum is located in the historic Village of Fort Langley and is operated by the Township of Langley. Originally opening in 1958, the museum features programs and other services that explore the history of British Columbia and Langley’s role in that history.

Facts about the museum

  • The museum has over 3500 square feet of galleries with many temporary exhibits on a variety of subjects.
  • Around 40,000 people visit the Langley Centennial Museum each year.
  • More than 100 people take time out of their week to volunteer at the museum, which contributes to over 3000 hours per year.
  • Some 10,000 students from local schools come through the doors each year.
  • There are a number of heritage services available to the public including information about conservation and legislation of heritage buildings as well as libraries and research facilities. There is also a gift shop.
  • Many special events are offered at the museum including events hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and the GVRD.
