The Community of Aldergrove, BC
Aldergrove is a town located in the Township of Langley – which is within the municipality of Metro Vancouver. Abbotsford is next to Aldergrove to the east and the city is about 60 kilometers east of Vancouver.
Aldergrove has a population of around 12,000 people.
It is also home to one of the region’s 5 border crossings which helps connect Lower Mainland residents to Lynden, Washington and other US destinations.
Military
A Naval Radio Site is located in Aldergrove – it is the home the Canadian Forces’ primary communication station for the Pacific fleet of the Navy.

Brief History
Loggers, gold miners, farmers and entrepreneurs started to settle in the region in the early 1870s.
The city became known as Aldergrove due to the vast number of alder tress in the region.
Museum
The Alder Grove Telephone Museum is also located in the city.
